Annual Wellness Exams / Problem Exams

The Annual Wellness Exam or preventative visit includes a Pap Smear, Breast Exam, Pelvic Exam, Heart and Lung screening, Blood Pressure and Urine screening. As a women’s healthcare needs vary throughout her life, we offer the freedom to individualize your Wellness Exam. Check with your insurance company as to what's covered with your preventative visit. 
A Problem Exam focuses on symptoms, signs or problems that you are experiencing. It generally includes a history, a physical exam, discussion of the problem, forming an initial impression, ordering tests and arranging a follow-up visit. Check with your insurance company if they allow both a Problem Exam and a Wellness Exam on the same day, as some do not.

Comprehensive Pregnancy Care

Once you know you’re pregnant, it’s important to establish a schedule of prenatal care. Our physicians practice evidence-based medicine and develop your prenatal care plan to include routine prenatal visits, labs, ultrasounds and a postpartum visit. It may also include specific tests and ultrasounds and referrals to specialized providers.
​We encourage our prenatal patients to receive proper dental care and take prenatal vitamins. We believe each patient's pregnancy is unique. You and your baby are at the heart of how we practice medicine.

Infertility Treatment

If you are trying to have a baby and not getting pregnant, your feelings
of frustration and isolation can be overwhelming. All of our physicians have experience in evaluating and treating couples for infertility. We
offer several diagnostic and treatment solutions.
When necessary, our practitioners will refer you to infertility specialists in the area. There are other sophisticated infertility treatments available, including IUI, IVF and donor egg programs.

Menopause Treatment

As women enter their 40s and 50s many begin to notice changes in their bodies, which are due primarily to changes in hormone levels. Menopause is a normal process of aging that affects every woman differently. Becoming familiar with its signs, symptoms and treatment options is the first step to managing menopause—rather than allowing it to manage you!
Our physicians will help you deal with the physical and emotional changes associated with menopause. We’ll help you decide if hormone replacement therapy is right for you. You’ll learn how to reduce your risk for heart disease, osteoporosis and other changes associated with menopause.

Robotic Surgery

For many benign gynecological conditions, you may be eligible for minimally invasive surgery, also known as laparoscopy or robotic surgery. The daVinci System enables your surgeon to operate through a few small incisions instead of a large open incision. The daVinci System is a robotic-assisted surgical device that allows our surgeons to perform highly precise and minimally invasive procedures, requiring only a single, small incision, so patients have less scarring and pain, and shorter recovery times. A hysterectomy, for example, might require only a single two-inch incision.

Gynecological Surgery

Advances in surgical techniques are giving women more options to consider when discussing gynecological issues with their physician. The physicians at Cornerstone Women’s Care can recommend a variety of treatment options and only perform surgery when absolutely necessary. New procedures like the laparoscopic supracervical hysterectomy, endometrial ablation for heavy bleeding and urinary sling procedure for the treatment of urinary incontinence are all minimally invasive procedures with quicker recovery times. ​

In-Office Ablation & Procedures

In office procedures include endometrial ablation for the treatment of heavy bleeding. These procedures are available in our office for the convenience of our patients. These non-incisional procedures afford our patients a quicker recovery with minimal pain.
In-office Ablation is a safe procedure using radio frequency ​
energy (radio waves) to permanently remove the uterine lining or endometrium. Results have included a significant reduction in menstrual bleeding, stopped periods, reduced PMS symptoms and reduced pain and cramping.

Ultrasound Procedures​

We offer state-of-the-art Obstetric and Gynecologic ultrasound. Our certified ultrasonographers average more than ten years of experience in obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound. They are able to provide quality ultrasound exams in a comfortable, personal environment. ​

Laboratory Services

Our services combine up-to-date treatment and assessment
methods with a personal, compassionate approach to women's care.
Our onsite laboratory office offers services for urinalysis, urine pregnancy tests, and wet mount or Affirm testing for vaginal infections. For your convenience we have an experienced phlebotomist for blood. In most cases we will notify you only of abnormal results.
